Sant Salvador Hike

45min–1hr hike up to the monastery from Petit Hotel Hostatgeria Sant Salvador — chapel, lookout points, water/snack/coffee at the hotel café after. Cristina's family does it every summer; her grandfather's ashes are at both the foot and the summit. Good as a pre-lunch or pre-dinner thing, doesn't eat the whole day.

Night Out in Cala d'Or

Marina town ~20min from Portocolom — different vibe from the villa nights, worth a wander + dinner/drinks if the group's up for it.

Coffee

Real specialty/pour-over coffee on Mallorca is mostly a Palma thing (an hour-plus away) — nothing genuinely third-wave right in Portocolom. Closest solid options: Café Val or Café Balear in Santanyí (already on deck for the Wed morning market), or Noir if we're already in Cala d'Or.

Cap de Formentor

The scenic drive/viewpoint everyone raves about — cliffs, hairpin turns, lighthouse at the tip. It's up north (~1.5hr from Portocolom), so really a full-day or add-on-to-Alcúdia kind of trip, not a quick stop.

Stargazing / Planetarium

Observatori Astronòmic de Mallorca near Costitx — night sky tours + planetarium sessions, well reviewed. Book ahead, it's a small operation.

Sa Ràpita

Quieter beach town south of Palma, closer to us than Palma proper — good sand, less of a scene than Portocolom on a busy day. Worth a swap-in beach day if anyone wants a change of scenery.

Ferry Day · Sep 3

M/V Eleanor Roosevelt — Palma 08:00 → Ibiza 10:15. Boarding opens 60 min early. Pre-booked taxi from Can Alou. E+C return the rental car and fly home from PMI.

Getting Around — No Car in Ibiza

Villa Cala Vadella is a quiet SW cove, ~25–30 min from Ushuaïa/Ibiza Town, closer (~15–20 min) to Pikes/San Antonio. Uber works on the island but Spanish law requires booking 30+ min ahead — no curbside hailing at 4am. Pre-book the ride home before heading out for UNVRS + Ushuaïa/Amnesia nights, or just flag a taxi (more reliable late-night than waiting on an app). Other apps that work on the island: FREENOW, TaxiClick, OK Taxi.

Villa Check-in/out

Check-in window is 3–9pm Thu Sep 3 (after 9pm costs €200, ask the host if later). Checkout is before 11am Sun Sep 6 (25–60% surcharge if later) — flights aren't til the afternoon, so plan on bags-in-car + a last swim, or ask about late checkout in advance.
